Ons Jabeur rolled through the first two rounds of Wimbledon, winning both her matches with ease. That form changed quickly when Jabeur ran into Bianca Andreescu on Saturday. Jabeur ultimatley prevailed in three hard fought sets after dropping the first to Andreescu. She now looks toward Petra Kvitova on Monday in the Round of 16. Wimbledon has been a welcome event for Ons Jabeur. The Tunisian was runner-up at last year’s tournament and made the quarters in 2021. She didn’t enjoy the same success in 2020, but finished 1st, 2nd and 1st again at Wimbledon from 2017-2019. That’s quite the track record for Jabeur, who also has career wins at the French Open and Australian Open. Unfortunately, her form has not been nearly as good as Jabeur’s earlier career results would suggest. That makes her a slight betting underdog for her Wimbledon Round of 16 match on Monday against Petra Kvitova. If Ons can return to form, it could spell bad news for Kvitova.
