U.S. Open Odds: Alcaraz a Massive Favorite vs. Arnaldi
Alcaraz-Arnaldi Odds via DraftKings
Alcaraz: -20000 | Arnaldi: +1700
Alcaraz – 9.5 Games: -145 | Arnaldi +9.5 Games (+120)
Over 26.5 Games: -110 | Under 26.5 Games (-110)
Matches tend to get closer as play moves deeper into the tournaments. That’s not the case on Monday when Alcaraz takes on Arnaldi as a -20000 favorite. The odds are making it clear that Alcaraz should have no trouble against his Italian opponent. It should come as no surprise given Alcaraz’s rising stardom in the tennis world.
Alcaraz is fresh off his second career Grand Slam win after taking down Wimbledon earlier this season. His previous Grand Slam victory came at the U.S. Open a year ago. He is now on a mission to win his second and shouldn’t see much resistance from Arnaldi. To put these U.S. Open odds in perspective, Djokovic has slightly worse odds to beat his next opponent on Sunday night despite being a slight favorite to win the tournament.
If both Alcaraz and Djokovic hold the line as massive favorites, they’ll cement their status atop the odds board. Djokovic is at +100 to win the U.S. Open, followed by Alcaraz at +190. Only two other players have shorter odds than 20:1. Daniil Medvedev is +1100 to win the tournament, followed by Jannik Sinner at +1200. Taylor Fritz is next at 25-1.
