The story of each game CAN be told all on one page - or a snapshot. I am a huge fan of spreadsheets, podcasts, and lengthy articles just as much as anyone, but I also know that people don't have time to jump from one spot to another. Point blank, my goal is to have the most relevant data points/observations for a single game all in one visual - no jumping from page to page and scrolling up and down the screen.

My name is Alan Walsh, and I have worked as a writer in the sports betting/DFS industry for the last 12 years at places like FanDuel, Caesars, RotoWire, and now in a newer venture with Playboy. These companies trusted me enough to spread the written word on their behalf, and I hope that one day you will too.

As each season goes on, we learn which teams are particularly strong/weak in certain areas, and these revelations open up opportunities to beat the market. Reading markets is one of my biggest strengths; I am always watching open-to-close line movements, handle-to-$ ratios, and going back to see how teams performed in similar scenarios. For sports like NHL and NFL/CFB, I am a big believer in the rest/travel/common opponents' schedules playing a part in matchups, and that is something that will be highlighted as well.

MLB is my favorite sport to follow and bet on, but I believe that it comes down to more of an individual basis. Despite playing DFS for years, I was always more of a side/totals bettor. Nowadays, I'm all over that Statcast data, with HR & H/R/RBI parlays added into my arsenal.

Currently, I am in the very (very!) beginning stages of creating Snapshot Bets, but I'd love to keep editing this section and keeping you guys updated on my progress. Hope to speak, and have success, with as many of you as possible here in the near future!
